Civic Hacker is an individual that acknowledges that there are many civic problems our civic leaders have, and are willing to volunteer their time and energies to be part of the solution.
If you respect this definition, consider making civic impact by helping out with one of our projects remotely or in person at our signature event Akron Civic Hackathon that we host each year in downtown Akron.
A simple pull request, or a request to join our teams on github is all that is needed.
Attending one of our events in-person will enable civic hackers to interact with our civic leaders that have agreed to host their problems, ask questions, come up with creative solutions and will allow everyone to learn more about how already known problems are being addressed and what new problems have come to light in the previous year that need attention.
Civic Hacking is always. We invite you to make as much civic impact as you can on your own schedule. Can’t wait for you to make civic impact in our communities.
